How do I use the Tasks page to see the quotes waiting on me and my office?

The Tasks page is your quote work queue. It lists every quote in your brokerage that still needs work, and it opens on Mine: the quotes on RFPs where you are the RFP Owner, Producer, or Account Manager. Status tiles across the top give you the count at each stage in one look, the Office filter narrows the list to one office, and every row shows how long the quote has been waiting, so the oldest work is easy to spot. One click on a quote's status opens it.

Where to find it

In the left navigation, open Tasks and choose Quotes. The page is titled Tasks.

Working your queue

Status tiles

Above the table are five tiles, each with a count: All Quotes, Pending, In Progress, Ready for Review, and Mine. Each tile is colored to match its status badge in the table.

  1. Click a tile to narrow the table to that status. The selected tile gets a bold border and a colored bar beneath it.
  2. Click the same tile again to go back to every quote.
  3. Click Mine to see only your quotes. Pills appear beside it with your own Pending, In Progress, and Ready for Review counts. Click a pill to narrow your quotes to that status, and click it again to see all of yours.

Open a quote from its status

The Quote column shows each quote's status badge with a small open icon. Click the badge to go straight into that quote's entry screen. Hover the badge to see the plan group name.

Filter by office and by person

  1. Click Add Filter above the table.
  2. Choose from Mine, Status, Employer, RFP, RFP Owner, Producer, Account Manager, Office, Benefit Type, and Carrier.
  3. For Office, pick one or more offices. The list shows only the offices you have access to.
  4. Save the combination as a saved filter if you use it often, the same way you do on your other lists.

What each column tells you

  • Quote: the status (Pending, In Progress, or Ready for Review), and your link to the quote.
  • Employer and RFP: the RFP name links to the RFP.
  • Office: the employer's office.
  • Benefit Type and Carrier.
  • Carrier Rep: the carrier rep who uploaded the quote. Hover over the name for their email. A note icon appears when the rep left a note; click it to read the note.
  • Uploaded: the upload date, with a waiting time underneath (Today, 1 day, 9 days, and so on). Green means under 7 days, yellow means 7 to 13 days, and red means 14 days or more.
  • RFP Owner, Producer, and Account Manager: the people named on the quote's RFP.
  • Quote Entry: Broker will enter, or Plansight will enter (see below).
  • The menu at the end of each row holds Download Document for the carrier's file.

Good to know

  • What counts as Mine. A quote is yours when you are the RFP Owner, Producer, or Account Manager on its RFP. To change whose queue a quote lands in, update those people on the RFP.
  • The page opens on Mine. If you have no quotes of your own, it opens on All Quotes instead.
  • Office access works the same as everywhere else in Plansight. If you are assigned to an office, you see quotes for that office's employers plus employers with no office. If you are assigned to a region, you see that region's offices plus employers with no office. Broker admins and users with no office or region see every open quote in the brokerage.
  • The Office filter narrows; it never widens. It lists only offices you can already see, so filtering never shows you another office's quotes. Changes to a quote's entry setting from this page follow the same rule.
  • The Office column appears only when your brokerage uses offices.
  • The Quote Entry column appears only when your brokerage has billable quote entry turned on. Choosing Plansight will enter the quote entry disclaimer before the quote moves to Plansight.
  • Waiting time does not change the sort. The table sorts by upload date, newest first. Click the Uploaded column header to put the oldest quotes on top.
  • Carrier Rep shows whoever uploaded the quote. That is almost always the carrier rep. It is blank on quotes with no recorded uploader.
  • Completed quotes leave the list. The Tasks page shows only quotes that are Pending, In Progress, or Ready for Review.

Start your day on Mine, clear the red ones first, and use the Office filter when you are covering for a teammate in another office.
