Pushing a plan from Plansight to BenefitPoint is a simple process, as long as a few key fields are set correctly first.
Before pushing a plan, open it in Plansight and confirm that the Carrier/Vendor (BP), Paid-By Type (BP), and Paid-By Company (BP) fields are selected. These dropdowns pull directly from your BenefitPoint account and are required for the push to work correctly.

When you’re ready, click Push to BenefitPoint. This opens a modal where you’ll choose the Origination Reason. Most teams use New or Renewal, depending on the situation. This selection tells the system how the plan should be handled on the BenefitPoint side.

If the plan is a renewal, you’ll be asked to select the parent plan you’re renewing. This list is pulled live from BenefitPoint, but the selection happens entirely in Plansight. Make sure the effective dates match. If the dates don’t line up, the plan can’t be pushed.

Once confirmed, Plansight sends the plan over. You’ll see a success indicator after the push completes.

For renewals and replacements, Plansight automatically carries over key details like plan design, rates, commissions, splits, contributions, and eligibility rules when applicable.
The video in this article walks through the full process. The main things to remember are setting the carrier and paid-by fields correctly and choosing the right origination reason before pushing the plan.
