Employee Worksheets is built for small-group medical. It turns a community-rated (ACA small-group) medical package into a one-page open enrollment handout for every employee on the census. Each sheet shows that employee, by name, what comes out of their pay on every plan in the package, how each choice compares with what they pay now, the key benefits side by side, and a worst-year figure so they can see the trade-off between premium and out-of-pocket risk. Employees who waive today get a sheet too. You print the whole stack or save it as a PDF, hand it to the employer, and the employer hands each sheet to its employee.
Where to find it
Open the renewal and go to Benefit Builder. On any package column (the Renewal column or any alternate package), open the ⋮ menu at the top of the column and choose Employee Worksheets. The worksheets open in a new browser tab.

Making the worksheets
- In Benefit Builder, pick the medical plan group for the package. It needs to be a community-rated plan group. The worksheets use whatever is selected in the package right now, saved or not.
- Open the package's ⋮ menu and choose Employee Worksheets. One worksheet per employee appears, sorted by last name, with a settings panel docked on the right.
- At the top of the panel, set the Pay schedule (Monthly, Twice a month, Every two weeks, or Weekly). Leave Employees on Everyone for the full stack, or pick one person to make a single sheet.
- Work through the four tabs (details below): Enrollment, Costs, Messages, and Colors.
- Click Update. The panel counts any changes that are not on the sheets yet, so you always know whether you are looking at your latest settings.
- Click Print / Save PDF and print from your browser, or choose Save as PDF as the destination. Pages are letter size.

Enrollment tab
- Handout type: Sign-up form (checkboxes and signature) adds a box beside each plan, a waive line, each family member with their own waiver box, and signature, printed name and date lines. Information only leaves all of that off.
- Return by and Return to: when and where the form goes back (for example, Human Resources).
- If they don't choose: Don't say, They stay on their current plan, or They have no coverage. Your choice prints as a plain sentence in Good to know.
Costs tab
- Employer & full premium: Show prints the employer's share and the full premium under each price. Hide leaves only what the employee pays.
- Cost range bar: a bar under each price, dark for a healthy year (what comes out of pay), light up to the worst year. Every plan on a sheet uses the same scale.
- Contribution: Numbers only (the default) or describe it in words, which adds a sentence such as how much the employer puts toward each plan.
- Employer HSA money: Don't mention, None, or Yes with optional yearly amounts for Just you and Family. This only prints on sheets with an HSA-eligible plan.
Messages tab
- Custom note: your own words, up to 1,000 characters, such as a payroll deduction authorization or "final rates depend on final enrollment." Tick Print the note to put it on the sheets.
- Questions: email and Questions: phone: printed in the footer so employees know who to ask.
Colors tab
- Main color sets the accent for the sheets. Text always uses a darker shade of it so it stays readable.
- QR code color follows the main color unless you untick Same as main color. Codes are kept dark enough to scan on paper.
What's on each worksheet
- The employer's logo and name at the top, with the plan year and the date coverage starts. Your brokerage's logo sits in the footer under Prepared by.
- Who is covered: the employee and each covered family member, with their age on the date coverage starts.
- Where you are today: the plan the employee is on now and what they pay for it today, under today's rates and today's contribution.
- Your plan choices: every community rated plan in the package, with network, carrier, metal level, Deductible, Out-of-pocket max, Doctor visit, Specialist, Hospital stay and Generic drugs, and what the employee pays per paycheck (with the monthly amount under it on non-monthly schedules).
- The change from today on every choice, dollars first with a percent, for example "$4.89 more (11%)".
- Tags: Your plan next year on the renewal of the plan they have today, and Lowest cost to you on the cheapest choice. On their renewing plan, any benefit that changed shows what it was.
- A QR code on each plan labeled Plan details. Scanned from paper or clicked in a PDF, it opens that plan's SBC. No login needed.
- Good to know: return instructions, what happens with no choice, any child turning 26 during the plan year, and what the worst year means.

Good to know
- It's an add-on. If you don't see Employee Worksheets in the package menu, it hasn't been turned on for your brokerage yet. Ask your Plansight account manager.
- Small group medical only. Worksheets are for community-rated (ACA small group) medical. The menu item shows on any package with medical, but the worksheets only list community-rated plans. A fully insured or self-funded plan group shows a message instead of sheets. Dental and vision are not included.
- Pick a plan group first. If the package has no medical plan group selected, Plansight asks you to choose one before it opens the worksheets.
- The numbers match the grid. Enrolled employees are priced from the same per-employee community rates and the same contribution rules you see on the Quotes grid, composite and age-banded alike. Each plan uses its own rate type.
- Base plan contributions. When the employer's contribution is tied to a base plan, the employer puts the same dollars toward every plan for a given person: what they would pay for that person on the base plan, never more than the plan's premium.
- Waived employees. Their sheet says you waive coverage today and prices each plan as Just you, plus With your family when the census lists family members for them. There is no "today" row.
- When the "Where you are today" row appears. It needs a Current plan group on the renewal and a current plan for the employee. Worksheets built from the Current plan group itself skip it.
- A plan with no rate shows "Rate not available" rather than $0, so no one reads a missing rate as free.
- Worst year is a year of payroll deductions plus the plan's in-network out-of-pocket maximum (the family maximum when they cover family). A plan with no plan out-of-pocket amount shows no worst year.
- Settings live in the page address, not in Plansight. Your settings stay put while you work, and you can bookmark the tab to come back to them. Opening the worksheets fresh from Benefit Builder starts from the defaults.
- Long plan lists continue onto a second page for that employee, with their name repeated and "Page 1 of 2" in the footer. The signature block never splits across pages.
- Every sheet carries the line "Estimates for planning. Your actual payroll deduction is set when you enroll." Each employee's sheet shows only their own information.
One click from Benefit Builder gives every employee a clear, personal answer to "what will this cost me?" before they sit down with HR.
