How to Add and Certify a Community Rated ACA Plan in Plansight

If you're unable to find an ACA plan design in your Community Rated library, you can manually add it to your brokerage’s list. This guide walks you through how to upload the SBC, review the data, and certify the plan so it becomes selectable for you and your team moving forward.


Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Check if the plan already exists
    • Go to Community Rated Plans in the left-hand menu
    • Use the filters to select the state , year , and any additional filters
    • Search to confirm the plan is not already in the system
  2. Create a new plan
    • On the right-hand side, click Create Community Rated Plan
    • Upload the SBC document (drag and drop or select from your files)
    • Fill in the basic info:
      • State
      • Year
      • Carrier (e.g., BCBS)
  3. Let the AI process the SBC
    • The system will scan and extract all available data from the SBC
    • Once processing is complete, it will auto-fill the plan design fields
    • Plan data found by AI will be highlighted in purple
  4. Review and verify plan details
    • Confirm the AI-populated fields are accurate
    • You can rename the plan to match your internal naming conventions
    • Any fields in orange were not captured by the AI and are optional to fill
  5. Certify the plan
    • Click Certify Plan in the top right corner
    • Once certified, the plan will be saved and available for use across your brokerage
    • You can click into the plan later to update or re-certify if needed
