Understanding Quote Statuses
Every quote in Plansight starts in a Pending status, whether it was uploaded by a carrier or added by someone on your team. Pending simply means the quote needs attention. All pending quotes automatically appear in your task list, so it’s easy to see what still needs review.
Where you’ll see quote statuses
You’ll notice quote statuses in two main places:
- Task List – this is your to-do view. Any quote that isn’t marked Complete will appear here.

- Quote Entry Screen – also known as the side-by-side view. You can open a quote from your Task List, review the details, and update the status directly here.

What each status means
- Pending – The quote needs review or follow-up. Every new quote starts here.
- In Progress – You’ve looked at it, maybe added or checked some data, but you’re not quite finished.
- Ready for Review – Used by teams that do peer reviews. One person finishes entering data, and another checks it for accuracy.
- Complete – You’ve reviewed everything and it’s ready for client presentation.
A few key things to remember
- Any quote not marked Complete stays on your Task List until you finish it.
- Quotes show up in your presentation output no matter what their status is — Pending, In Progress, Ready for Review, or Complete.
- Statuses are mainly there to help your team stay organized and know which quotes still need attention.
